Description of 1964 Pontiac Bonneville gto

1964 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible Triple BlackI bought this car about 3 years ago from a fussy Pontiac restorer in Tennessee. He put in a new leather interior. put a new top on. had the car painted. the engine. transmission and front end rebuilt amongst other things. It is a rust free straight car. there are no nicks. dents. scrapes. or scuffs. the paint is shiny and bright. It has a 389 4 barrel carb. with an electric choke. The car starts and runs strong. it is equipped with air but the air is not currently working. All of the components are present for the air. so it may need a charge. it didn't work when I bought the car. and I put the top down when I want air. The engine is clean and free of oil and the engine compartment presents itself well. It is coupled with an automatic transmission and it shifts and drives very well. We have driven it to many car shows in the summer months that are 7 hours away and it drives very well at today's highway speeds. The front end has also been rebuilt and it tracks well. and the steering is tight. It has a solid dual exhaust system. It rides on a set of 16 inch American Racing Torque Thrust wheels and like new tires with about 10. 00 miles on them. The interior was done by a professional shop and it is soft leather. that is not cracked. ripped. or stained. The car has not been smoked in. The carpet is new. and it is equipped with seat belts. The parade boot matches the interior material. The dash pad is excellent. the gauges all work. except for the clock. The face of the clock is splintered. The original steering wheel is cracked. but very useable. I recently replaced it with a wood wheel. The convertible top is like new and it has a glass back window. it is a power top and it goes up and down as it should. The trunk has all the panels. spare tire cover and floor mats. along with the retractable emergency light on the inside of the trunk lid. The paint is very shiny on a very straight rust free body. The gaps on the doors. trunk lid and hood are all good. There are no dents. scratches. or dings. the car is rust free. All of the glass is excellent. All the rubber moldings are soft and in excellent condition. The chrome on the front bumper is excellent as is the rear bumper except for one small spot that I would describe as having thin chrome on the rear bumper. The stainless is in good condition. there is very minor pitting. and it is much better than any other 64 Bonneville that I have seen. The car comes with the original steel wheels. and full wheel hubcaps. there are no tires on those wheels. The car presents itself very well and gets a lot of attention at shows and going down the road. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early should it sell locally.
