1972 Pontiac Lemans Sport Convertible Monarch Yellow, GTO Options Very rare comes with with PHS documents Restored 1 of 3,438 Convertibles and even less Sport Models / T-41 made PHS Documentation VIN # 2D67M2P203264 In 1972, you couldn’t order the GTO in a convertible, so this is what you ordered, the Lemans with the T-41 Endura front option with ram air hood. This is an extremely nice and very rare 1972 Pontiac Lemans Sport Convertible - 1 of 3,438 total convertibles made and even fewer Sport models. It retains it’s factory paint color in the seldom seen ‘Monarch Yellow’ (code 56B on the cowl tag). This is a rare color for 1972, as very few (probably a handful) of the 3,438 convertible cars produced came in this color and even less with the Endura front end treatment. This Pontiac had a restoration a while back and has very nice above average paint and original interior.I bought the car because it’s very unique, rare and the front end and hood treatment in my opinion is one of the best GM made. The car has nice options like factory a/c, formula steering wheel, 15†Pontiac Honeycomb wheels, power disc brakes, bucket seats, power top, power steering, center console, am/fm, T-41 Endura front end, ram air hood, remote drivers mirror, etc. The car still has the spare, original jacking equipment in the trunk, along with a trunk light that works. The dual exhaust is flowmaster, has chrome tips and sounds great.Everything works on this car, horn, turn signals, fuel gauge, interior lights, etc.Buzzer warning still works for the seat belts. The car runs and drives real nice.Suspension and steering are great with new Bilstein shocks on all 4 corners, which greatly improves the handling. It also has the F41 rear sway bar and a 12 bolt rear.I can’t say enough about the way this car handles and drives down the highway, it’s a pleasure to cruise in.The doors lock nice with a click, open and shut real nice, with no sag.The convertible top and rear glass is real nice as well. The door handles and mirror chrome is like new.The convertible boot fitment is very nice. There are no weird noises, no rattles or squeaks - the car is tight.Tires are BFG with great tread. The three GTO decals were added (one to the trunk lid and one on each rear quarter panel). These can easily be pealed off if desired.I also have the original Sport emblems that were not installed when restored.I am not a dealer. The only reason I am selling this car is I have several cars and I need to thin the herd. This is a very nice car that was well cared for over the years and has not been abused. The previous owner had this car for many years.I have owned it about 5 years. Its hard to find cars in this original unmolested condition.
