I have decided to sell my 55 Safari. I bought this about 2 years ago with the plan to restore it. I have realized that I have too many projects. This is a non running project car. This Safari now has an early 70’s 400 engine with a turbo 350 transmission. The steering column is from the Lemans also and is a tilt column.I have started the engine and it will run off a bottle. There is some rust in the inner rockers, bottoms of the doors and in the inner panel for the tailgate. The floorboards and spare tire well are solid. It is missing the gas tank and the driveshaft. The wiring would need to be replaced in my opinion. The car has a set of 1966 or 67 Lemans bucket seats in it. I have an original Safari rear seat out of a 1957 Safari that will go with the car. The brakes will need to be gone through also. The curved glass on the driver’s side is broken. Since the body is the same as a Nomad, the glass is available. I also have an original set of door panels that are bad but have the original trim on them that can be used for patterns. The front end has been lowered with lowering springs. The car is being sold with a low reserve, so bid to buy. The buyer is responsible for transportation. I am willing to help with loading etc. Terms of payment will be $500.00 deposit by Paypal when the bidding ends. Balance can be paid by Postal Money order or bank wire transfer within 7 days of the end of the auction.
