Someone may get the car for that amount!1951 Pontiac Chieftain Two door hardtop, Nice driving coupe with performance upgrades. This older restoration kept the original appearance of this classic Pontiac while keeping it a reliable driver. I was advised that the motor is a 305 c.i. V8 which gives it at least 50% more horsepower., along with a turbo hydramatic transmission. The shift lever on the steering column correctly shows the selection. The drivetrain is excellent with a new carburetor, and I see no reason that the car couldn't be driven across the country.The car is now 12 volt, but has a 6v converter for the heater and other original accessories. Bulbs were changed also. Colors are original as are the sunshade, traffic minder, and lighted hood ornament! There is not major rust, since this has always been a Western car, with only a bit of surface rust under some trim & bumpers typical of a car this age; see photos. New radial tires give the car much nicer handling, and the radio is a newer type with classic appearance. Most of the interior is original; the steering wheel under the wrap is good also. And, all maintenance is up to date.This is a fun car and gets so many thumbs-up I have lost count.Please no low-balling or bogus offers.Ask any questions; I am at 541-461-6910
