This is a 1977 Pontiac Catalina/ Bonneville V8 2 door, basically the same car, with only 77k miles. It has the 301cu-in 2 barrel V8 engine with 350 automatic transmission. It do run strong, also drives but only the forward gears seem to work, it has no reverse maybe a shift solenoid never checked it out or had it looked at so it could be a simple fix. It had been sitting for about 10 years but I just recently decided to pull it out and either work on it or sell it, the later won. I put some miracle oil into the each cylinder and turned it by hand before starting it the following day. With new spark plugs, a new fuel filter and fresh gas in the tank the engine started right up and runs great. Only rust I can see is in the floor pans, the trunk pan is solid, the doors are solid. Rocker panel on driver side has a dent but definitely fixable. I drove it around the yard and the brakes were soft from a leaky master brake cylinder which I fixed so master cylinder is brand new, but may need new calipers etc. I haven't really gone over the whole brake system. The steering column is damaged, the key is lost and I had to also remove the trunk access lock to get into the trunk. I removed the interior which was originally red but in very poor condition. I also removed the carpet which revealed the floor pan rust, which is a bit more than I can handle at the moment as I have several other projects. I have the door panels and the rear passenger panels. All the glass is in good shape. The hood was damaged from the hinge being stuck and my friend tried to close the hood and ended up bending it. After some lubrication the hinges were fine but the damage was already done. The passenger side fender is dented but fixable, rest of the body is okay except for some of what looks like minor surface rust spots here and there, please ask for any detail pics of the body before bidding so you can have an idea of what exactly to expect when you receive the car. Sold with a bill of sale only. Sold AS-IS with no warranty or guarantee expressed or implied. If you have any questions please feel free to ask BEFORE bidding. Thanks for looking.
