About this vehicleThis 1979 Pontiac Trans Am is an original. This is offered for sale by the original owner. The vehicle is drivable.Seller's Notes1979 TA One Owner, Estate car, 70,440 actual miles. This car was purchased new in Burlington Iowa by Paul Caldwell Jones October 18th 1978. Paul was a SCCA race car driver in the mid to late seventies who was well known on the circuit with his modified 69 Corvette Stingray. This Trans Am has the 6.6 403 engine, Auto transmission, Clock, Tilt, Cruise and AC. Car was in storage over 20 years, but was started now and then. Runs and drives but needs carb adjustments/tuning. Very solid car but does have some rust in rear quarters and inside rear valance bumper area. Floor Pans, Trunk, Front Fenders, Hood and Sub Frames look really good. Car was undercoated. Normal door dings here and there. Couple tiny dings on roof that are hard to see. One of the bumper guards will need replaced. Mice had been in the car in the past. I cleaned up the interior but the carpet and some interior panels will need replaced. Seats are decent considering they are 41 years old. Dash is excellent. Everything electrical works. Wheels need refinished. Have all four original gm floor mats. Excellent opportunity for restoration. Not sure why the sound quality is off in video. If anyone wants to hear I have others. Thanks & Happy Bidding!VideosExteriorInteriorEngineCreated on the eBay Motors app
