Description of 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT |
Vehicle Details This is a 1987 Pontiac Fiero 2.8 5 speed. This was a project car of mine. Unfortunately it has been sitting for the past 6 years. This car is not complete and does not run. In 2015 I replaced the stock 2.8 motor. I swapped in another 2.8 motor with a 5 speed transmission and installed a new clutch. I know that the starter is bad and needs to be replaced. I relocated the battery to the front compartment with a Norms Fiberglass relocation kit. There is no battery. The outer door panels and side skirts are fastened with only a small bit of harware. The car when I purchased it the owner said that it had been in a rear end accident. The rear clip had separated from the car. It was welded back together before I got the car. The front was also hit, but it was minor, and has been fixed. That was fixed by a local body shop called nice and easy. I installed an aluminum firewall on the car. The car has had the suspension gone through with new poly bushings. Ball joints Rodney Dickmans 1" lowering. Stainless steel braided front and rear brake lines. The car has about 1500 miles or so on the suspension. I did the suspension before the motor swap. I converted the rear spring suspension from the original and added coilovers. The springs are from West Coast Fiero 2" lowering rated at 300lbs. It also has a new West Coast Fiero harmonic balancer. Unfortunately I got hurt in 2015 and since then the car has been sitting. The car is full of scratches and scuffs. The tail lights are delaminated and the right one has a crack. I used a bumber from another car and made a lower lip on the front bumper. All extra parts that are not on the car are in the trunk and inside. The inside door panels are not installed either. Only the front calipers are installed not the rear. I have the rear and they need to be rebuilt. There is a small bit of rust in the rear trunk and some surface rust throughout the car. This has been in California. Almost all of the parts are there. There are no mirrors for the car. Tires are all bad. This was a project car and does not run. This car is AS-IS. I'm hoping someone can use it for a project or a parts car. Cash on pickup only. If you have any questions or would like to see it please feel free to ask. I can show you more pictures and answer any questions. Thank you so much for your interest. |
