Description of 1963 Pontiac Other LeMans

This 1963 Pontiac LeMans coupe is a modified example that features a mix of fiberglass and steel body panels finished in gold mounted over a custom square tube steel chassis. Power is provided by a modified 6.0-liter LS V8 paired with a Borg-Warner T-10 four-speed manual transmission and a Ford nine-inch rear axle. Features include a custom interior, 18″ Rocket wheels, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, adjustable coilovers, a roll cage, a fuel cell, Kirkey seats with Crow racing harnesses, and a digital instrument display. This modified Tempest LeMans is now offered with recent records, build photos, and a clean Arizona title in the name of the seller’s business.
The car was built using a custom square tube steel chassis, steel Tempest LeMans body panels, a fiberglass front clip, and fiberglass bumpers. The gold paint is a Toyota color, and additional details include a lower front splitter, a lift-off hood, and a hide-away fuel door.
18″ Rocket wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich g-Force Rival tires. The car features a Scotts Hotrods custom independent front suspension, a triangulated four-bar rear suspension, adjustable front and rear coilovers, and competition sway bars. Braking is handled by Wilwood six-piston front and four-piston calipers over cross-drilled rotors.
The interior features a custom roll cage integrated into a steel dashboard, a custom carpeting kit, Kirkey seats with Crow racing harnesses, a Hurst shifter, and an aftermarket pedal set. A fuel cell is mounted in the trunk.
The three-spoke steering wheel is mounted on an adjustable column, and the digital instrument cluster shows 300 miles. The 6.0-liter V8 was rebuilt using an LS6 block, LS3 cylinder headers, and an LS3 valvetrain with an estimated 530 hp at the rear wheels. Equipment includes a BTR 113 LSA camshaft, an aluminum radiator in a custom enclosure, an electric fan, a custom air intake system, and a custom exhaust system.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Borg-Warner T-10 four-speed manual transmission and a Ford nine-inch 3.90 rear axle with a Detroit Tractrixaluminum center section and Mark Williams axles
