1969 Pontiac GTO The Judge Ram Air III Factory A/C 4-Speed # Matching Ex Cond

Original, documented, and numbers matching 1969 Pontiac GTO “The Judge” with the legendary Ram Air III 400 cu.in. 366 h.p. Pontiac V-8. Most of the recent history of the car is known and documented. It is being sold as part of an estate.

The 400 cu. in. engine is believed to be original with the stamping numbers of WS 0469423 on the block and a block number of 236123601; engine date code of A219 (January 21, 1969); cylinder head date code of A139 (January 13, 1969). Please see photos of engine, VIN#, and trim tag.

The Judge was apparently purchased from the original owner more than 25 years ago and the mileage of 75,108 is actual. It also came with factory A/C which does not work.

The exterior was repainted by the original owner and still looks good. There is no evidence of bubbling or rust coming through. The car is very straight. Presently the hide-a-way headlight doors do not work, but the lights do. There is some cracking on the top of the bumper on the left side, but nothing else.

Floors are solid although there is heavy undercoating which was probably applied at the factory. Please note that the ‘blue’ hue in the photos of the undercarriage are due to the use of a fluorescent light.

The window mechanisms function normally, and all the glass is in good condition.

Exterior chrome appears original and in good condition.

The interior appears original and in good condition. No evidence of broken seams or tears. All of the gauges function including the AM/FM radio and the tachometer on the hood.

As recently as 2019 several maintenance items were addressed on the Pontiac. They include:

Servicing of brakes including new shoes, wheel cylinders and flushing of the system.

Pitman arm seal

Oil pan gasket

Valve cover gaskets

Adjust parking brake cable

New driveshaft ‘U’ joints

New tires

Inspected and replaced several vacuum lines and hoses.

New battery

Replace rear pinion seal

New Shocks

Replace rear sway bar links and bushings

Align front end

New wheel bearings

Replace trailing arm bushings

“The Judge” drives and runs strong and draws attention everywhere it goes. There does appear to be an oil leak, possible rear main seal, but not confirmed.
