This is undoubtedly one of the finest, if not the most exceptional, 1966 Pontiac Bonneville convertibles in the world. In pristine, number one condition, this show car stands ready for display, judging, or simply to be enjoyed and treasured. Only 547 Bonnevilles, spanning all body styles, were manufactured in 1966 with the WH code 421 Tri Power engine, paired with a manual transmission. A mere 7 convertibles came with this specific option package, and only 3 had factory A/C. It's believed that this is the sole surviving convertible fitted with the 421-tri power, 4-speed manual transmission, bucket seats, and air conditioning, while still preserving its original matching number components. Constructed at Pontiac’s Kansas City Plant in the fourth week of June 1966, it was delivered to Peters Motors in Carroll, Iowa. All original documentation, including the build sheet, Protect-O-Plate, owner’s manual, folding top book, and PHS records accompany the car. Furthermore, paperwork and receipts confirm the car has been an Arizona resident since the mid-1970s. This rust-free, numbers-matching car underwent a meticulous, body-off restoration that concluded in 2018, boasting its original factory color scheme: Blue Charcoal Metallic with a Parchment interior and a White Convertible top. I am aiding the car's owner in its sale. As a retired classic car restorer, he personally saw to this vehicle's restoration, sparing no expense. Having concluded the restoration in 2018, the car has since accumulated fewer than 1,000 miles. Remarkably, it's even better now than when it was freshly restored, having been carefully driven and thoroughly fine-tuned. The car's odometer reads 48,603 miles, believed to be its original mileage. Having sat untouched for 22 years before its restoration, there's every reason to trust this claim. This presents a golden opportunity to own one of the world's rarest Pontiacs. More impressively, it's in turn-key condition, arguably better than when new. Duplicating this car today would undoubtedly require an investment of multiple six figures in restoration expenses alone. This vehicle is ready-to-go, making it an ideal contender for judging at any event, including the Pontiac nationals. It truly represents the pinnacle, with all codes and numbers matching. Don't let this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity slip away. Highlights:
