Description of 1966 Pontiac Le Mans |
This 1966 Pontiac LeMans is a restored vehicle. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle is drivable and is mainly used for weekend drives. Vehicle Details 1966 Pontiac LeMans Not sure where to start, let’s go with the good first: Car was fully restored about 10 years ago with all rust holes replaced with the proper sheet metal Seriously, you can run a magnet across this whole car and you won’t find a spec of bondo or body filler Underbelly very very clean, again, ZERO rust Interior is in a beautiful 9/10 condition, just one of the carpet panels on the door is peeling a bit and you can fix that with a staple or 2 and nobody would notice I just had the transmission completely overhauled august of 2023 at continental transmission Car runs and drives and it drives well and smooth (Could use a slight alignment) Brand new tires Brakes are good Timing just set Replaced thermostat and all radiator hoses Radio, wipers, cigarette lighter, blinkers, lights Everything works!!! Drum brakes just adjusted and front drums converted to pads and rotors Now let’s move on to the BAD, it’s only 3 things but they’re not particularly small issues and could be a deal breaker for most #1. It has a slight overheating problem caused by a gummed up radiator, BUT I have a new one for the vehicle that I’ll throw in for free you just have to install, and it’s a very easy job, I just don’t have time for it so there’s that problem solved. #2. I know the car looks good in the pictures but the previous owner painted this car with house paint, and they didn’t do a good job, along the whole car you will find a few drips and ALOT of orange peel, but if you paint this car you can easily sell it for much more than you’re gonna pay me, and remember, still no rust despite the bad paint!! #3. The weather stripping is old and cracked around the trunk and windows, I would recommend you replace it all around just for security but it’s really just a cosmetic thing really, I haven’t noticed any leaks during heavy rains. Oh and she could use a slight alignment but that’s a very easy job on this car All in all, she’s a great reliable car that could pass as great a daily driver as long as you replace the radiator. And with a paintjob it would be a quality show car, I also have years of records dating back to the 70s for this vehicle. |
