1974 Pontiac Trans Am Super Duty-455. This car is highly original and in great shape for its age. There were less than 1300 of these made over the two year run from 1973-74. The SD-455 motor was based on the already produced Pontiac Big-Block 7.5L V8 455 and put out about 310hp/395lb-ft of torque. In preparation for the sale this numbers matching SD-455, it received a tune up service which included new spark plugs, a rear differential flush, new rear differential gasket, new fuel and oil filters, oil change, new gear oil, and had the numbers matching carburetor rebuilt. This thing is turn key ready to go mechanically. Starts right up, idles well, and shifts smooth through all gears. Needs nothing mechanically.Cosmetically there are areas which hint at the cars age, including separation of the seam in the drivers side front seat. Area's of the passenger door panel have some chips on the interior. Rear seats are in great shape as is the headliner. All electronics work as they should. The dash shows cracks above the instrument cluster. The paint is in decent shape, some minor imperfections can be noted around the car. Slight bubbling near the vents on the front fenders, as well as a few minor chips in the paint on the roof. The glass is in great shape with no cracks or scratches. All four wheels are in good condition with lots of life left on the BF Goodrich Radial tires.Underneath the car shows little oxidation and is overall solid.
