***Relisting due to non paying buyer. Please check with your significant other etc and be committed to completing purchase before bidding on my Trans Am, thank you!!!I have lowered the reserve and buy it now significantly to help expedite sale after non paying buyer.Reluctantly selling my 1986 Trans Am as I will be losing my garage space for the next 6-12 months. This was an original 5.0 carb V8, 5 speed manual, and 4 wheel disk brake car, that now has a 2002 LS1 5.7 liter V8, a T56 manual transmission from the same donor car, as well as all wiring. The rear end is the stock 9 bolt with disk brakes, 3.42 gears and POSI traction. The car was originally from California and it has zero rust, and has never been wrecked with all original body panels. It's now titled in Oregon in my name with tags good through December 2026. Since the prior owner who started the swap was hoping to use the vehicle in California it maintains all 2002 spec emissions equipment as well with a new converter on the vehicle and a second unmounted new rear converter that can be included if wanted. I have no emissions requirements in my county and was planning to eventually remove.173,000 on the chassis but less than 1,000 miles on the LS1/T56 swap. Donor car had 62,000 miles. A new Mcleoud clutch and C5 Corvette radiator were just installed as was a short throw shifter. New battery (mounted in rear), New windshield, mint seats from a 2002 Trans Am (8 way power drivers seat that works as it should). New dash cap, 4th gen 6 speed console (with 4 cupholders lol). New wireless Apple car play stereo, New ZR tires on original 16 inch TA rims, with New Center Caps, New Hawks 3rd Gen Firebird shift knob, new Firebird Llyod front mats. New K&N air filter. Flowmaster 2 chamber exhaust and suspension is all stock outside of KYB struts/shocks at all 4 corners. Wonder bar and giant Ws6 sway bars with good bushings make the handling excellent. Outside of the exhaust, K&N filter/intake, the LS1 set up and drive train are completely stock with stock ECU and tune.No mechanical issues whatsoever, it drives straight down the road, and accelerates, stops and turns flawlessly. No dash lights or codes, and does not burn any fluids. If left for several weeks in the garage without starting their is the tinyest of oil leaks from the pan, less than the size of a quarter when left for 3 weeks. But performance wise this car is a beast, a blast to drive, and turns heads everywhere. It shifts through all 6 gears and reverse with no grinds or issues.Body wise, every panel is original and the wrap while just being completed looks great from 5 feet but has several imperfections close mostly due to the body not being fully prepped, I removed peeling clear coat but did not sand it down so there are imperfections that show through. However, the car will come with a brand new entire roll of 5 feet by 60 feet 3M 1080 flat miliary green wrap, as well as a matching new set of gloss decals so the vehicle can eventually be rewrapped. This would look great at any cars and coffee or high school parking lot as is. There are no dents, there is a few door dings on each door that don't show in photos and one on each fender, all smaller than a nickel. Otherwise, the factory rubber spoiler needs restoration or replaced, and has cracks at the mounting base and is currently off the car (I can mount for new owner if wanted). It comes with new fog light bulbs and unmounted LED reverse bulbs. The headlights are new and I replaced both headlight motors, but it would benefit from new glass foglight lenses as the driver side has a crack, and there is a nick in the passenger side. (These are $22 a piece online).Interior is a 9/10. It was originally tan and completely changed to black using oem black plastic/interior pieces where needed. The original carpet was in great shape and was dyed black. The headliner could eventually be replaced, not really sagging but its faded in spots and the backing board is starting to come apart by the seatbelts (not visible and the fabric is still in good shape). The small passenger black dash trim piece I have on order through ebay and it should arrive by close of auction if not I will either ship to buyer at no cost, or credit buyer the $60 it costs for a used one here on ebay. The seats and all panels are in excellent shape with a new dash cap. The dome light works, as does the rear electric hatch release and power windows. I disconnected the power locks and power mirrors when wrapping the car but they were functioning. The t tops are glass and lock with key and the original leather case is in great shape. (I have two complete sets of keys for the vehicle and a spare ignition key). The only other things I would eventually place are the 2 outside door window weatherstrips and the passenger side upper door panel plastic is slighly warped. The t top seals are new as is the center bar and it does not leak.Items to address. I did not install the AC with the swap so currently it is disconnected but most AC components are there as is the heater, as I was going to remove both as this was set to be a weekend, cruise only summer car. The heater is fully connected though. The blower motor was only working intermittently so that should be sorted if you are going to want a functioning heater-not sure if its the relay, blower motor resistor, or actual blower motor. I have removed the wiper arms as well but they will come with the vehicle. Lastly, the speedometer and tach need a VSS buffer/resistor to function properly. Dakota Digital and several others offer an easy to use box for this, or you can get a cheap OBD2 unit from Amazon, but I was just using GPS from apple car play and a heads up display app. The fuel gauge and battery works perfectly. The coolant gauge reads accurately but will sometimes get stuck at normal operating temp and will stay this way for a drive cycles, but the car runs cool and has no heating issues so it never bothered me. The oil pressure gauges reads high which is a common issue with these cars, and is usually fixed with a new oil pressure sending unit. That's it the car is in great shape with fresh oil, fresh dexcool, great brakes, a new clutch, and shifts and drives perfectly with an excellent idle! This Trans Am will make any 3rd gen fan happy, and I am bummed to let it go. Please feel free to reach out with any other questions. I have tons of videos of it running as well as pics before the wrap etc.$500 deposit via VenMo (preferred), Paypal or wire transfer with 24 hours close of auction. The remaining balance is due at pickup or within 7 days whichever comes sooner. I can hold the vehicle in my garage for up to 30 days for the new owner for no charge. I am happy to assist with transport in any way I can. I have a new Duramax HD truck, and cheap access to a car trailer, so if needed for a separate fee I could even potentially help transport in the PNW/West Coast, but otherwise happy to work with your shipper. The Firebird is safe in my garage in Bend Oregon until picked up :)
