1970 Pontiac FIREBIRD FORMULA 400 RAM AIR III Thank you for viewing another of Reeder Chevrolet's muscle car listings. This is a 1970 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 with a Ram Air III 345 HP engine . The body has the correct W66 stamping and the engine has the correct "YZ" stamp on the block. This Formula has a 200R4 transmission installed that replaced the standard M40. This improves cruising ability because it now has 4 speeds rather than 3. The changeover can be reversed if desired. There were only 293 YZ automatic Ram Air III Formula's built in 1970. This is one of 221 built in the Norwood plant. The other 72 were built in Van Nuys. This is a fully restored car and is in immaculate condition. In 1970 a total of 7. 08 Formula 400's were produced of which only 689 were Ram Air III's. This Formula has Pontiac Historic Services documentation and has 22 factory options including the four barrel 400 Ram Air III motor. Rally 2 Wheels. power brakes. gauge package. Air Conditioning. tilt steering. power steering. custom trim. and center console. The original MSRP was $5. 30. 56. The original color was Palladium Silver and it was restored to Dark Blue.
