Description of 1990 Porsche 964 C2

Very Good original condition...never been wrecked! extremely original; no upgrades or mods!!
Has the awesome 964 engine, hich has twin-plug dual distributor and is 3.6 Liters...
Great power, ut is very efficient on fuel...Luxurious interior, eels very plush and has that classic German Porsche feel and looks...This car is the last of an era, hich has the original 911 lines, ut has
the more modern upgrades, o it is much more comfortable than its predecessors...Great Modern Classic TRUE Sports Automobile!!!
The color of the car is Black and that is its original color, rom the Factory...Interior is Tan on the seats & carpet, ut switches to Black at the dashboard & the window sills and goes all the way up to the
headliner; which is a great look and a great combination! I bought the car a couple years ago from a Commercial Airplane Pilot, ho took extensive records and great care of the vehicle ( like you do an
airplane)... I have all the books and CarFax on the car...Apparently, am the 6th owner, ut the car has spent the last 10 years in Florida. I will be able to supply all info, pon request... This car has a
Porsche Factory alarm system which works well with the key, nd automatic door locks (locks both doors, hen you engage)...Plus, dding to it's luxury status, t has electric windows, hich workvery well.Overall, his is a great and beautiful car, ith the Classic 911 look, ut with the most advanced technology, or the Classic looking 911 Model. It's really the best of both the 'vintage look' and
'moderndrive'Worlds! However, he car is 25 years old now, nd has some minor issues; I will do my best to list them here:
-Paint looks good when polished, ut tends to fade out fast, n the sunlight; has some spots where the paint was 'burned' through, rom someone who didn't know what they were doing with a polisher...due to this, here are a couple spots where you can see the grey primer under the paint; namely where you put your arm, n the drivers door, hen the window is down, nd a small spot on the deck lid. Other than this, he paint looks ok when buffed, ut there are a couple other issues that would warrant a new paint job, n the whole car. It would be sweet with a new paint job; but looks ok, or now.-Fortunately and Unfortunately, he windshield had to be replaced, nd was replaced with a proper Porsche lightweight windshield with the radio antenna built into the windshield, tself... The windshield is clean & clear and does not have any scratches or scuff marks, n it. The unfortunate part is, he seal was not installed properly on the passenger side and water has gotten down behind the seal and caused so metal rust/ rot, ight under the lower passenger side of the windshield...I was advised the best way to fix this would be to remove the windshield when repainting the car and fix this small area of metal rust...will supply photos of rusted area...This may be the worst thing wrong with this car!-A trim limb landed on the roof of the car and put some small dents in the roof that can be popped out by a dent remover; Estimate was $350 from a Professional dent remover....will add photos of damage...-The Odometer stopped working about 1000 miles ago, or no apparent reason?? I do not drive the car very often, o I know there has not been that many miles put on the car, ince the Odometer stopped working. Plus, here was only 95,000 miles on the car when I bought it 2 years ago...This car is a weekend car ONLY! I have a work truck for every day driving...-The rear driving and brake lights have a worn appearance...may be able to be buffed out, r may need replacing to freshen up, hen the car is painted. The front headlights, ook great and perfect! (see photos)-Tires are original Factory recommended Dunlop D40's....they have some life left in them, ut they will need to be replaced soon...That could be a good thing, ecause I always thought this car would look much better with some updated or 'flashier' wheels!!-Air Conditioning works well; better than 911 models previous to this year (which has always been a weak point for Classic 911s); it may need some maintenance and a recharge to work optimally, nd on a humid day, here would be a little condensation leaking from under the dash. My mechanic told me a drain line must be clogged... Other than that, he Air Conditioning works well.-The front seats show normal wear, specially on the drivers side, here ther is a small rip, ut is barely noticeable; but there is rash on the leather from getting in and out of the car; Overall the leather and interior inside the car looks very good, or its age...the shifter handle shows the most wear, ith some dirty looking leather around where you put your hand all the time, o shift the tranny. It could easily be replaced/ refreshened with a new shift boot handle, hich porsche still offers in this Factory tan color, or sure...-The carpets in the car have some normal wear, or 25 year old carpet, ut it appears there has always been a second set of rugs that were fitted and laid over the originals, o preserve the original carpet; Overall the carpet wear is minimal and looks nice.-The engine was serviced in 2005 and taken out of the car to go through all seals and make certain this engine did not leak any oil! Apparently, he previous owner, eing a pilot, ad a pet-peave about oil leaks and as soon as he bought it, e had all the seals done on the engine...Vintage 911s are known to leak oil, ut they must have done a great job, ecause this engine barely has a drop of oil, very now and again, nder where I park it in my garage...I did however notice, he power steering fluid is leaking and seems to need some tightening of clamps, r possibly a new hose, omewhere near the reservoir, n or under the engine bay; should be very minor...-The engine runs very nicely and had a valve adjustment done in 2008 at somewhere around 80,000 miles...I have the exact details in the log book that was kept with the car. It may be time for a tune-up, ut the plugs only have less than 10,000 miles on them, o it should not need much to make the engine in tip-top shape...-This car has the motorised ducktail wing, hat raises at around 45 mph and lowers when you come to a stop. It functions fine, ut there are 2 small cracks in the tail, hich can be fixed with the bodywork & painting.
I would say, or the cars age, t's in very good condition and still has a lot of life left in her...She has been a great car, nd these engines are known for their reliability and efficient
gas mileage. I honestly cannot believe how good the gas mileage is, ven when you romp on the pedal, he still doesnt go through that much fuel; not like my work truck. I guess it
has a lot to do with the twin-plug and dual distributor design, or the 3.6 liter engines. It make lots of power, or a non-Turbo car; enough to scare you because 120 comes up pretty
quick and you can find yourself getting into trouble, ery fast! This 911 handles like a dream, ut is set up for US ride-height standards, hich is a little higher than the Euro spec. I
like it, ecause the car never bottoms out or has issues with speed bumps or pulling in and out of steep driveways or parking lots. It is a real dream to drive and I really dont want to
sell her, ut I found out my Dads cancer came back, or the third time and I am going to need to make some changes in my life to accomodate him, n his time of need. So, here is a
lot that is gonna go, ecause there is no room at his house, nd this car is one of the things that is gonna have to go, ecause I would not park a Classic like this outside...It should be
housed in a garage and slightly restored, s these cars are on the rise in value! Trust me, have owned many Porsches and I had a 1972 Porsche 911 before this one, nd this car is
the one you want, s it has all the luxuries and power you could ever want out of a 'true' Sports Car!!! Please feel free to ask questions, nd check back from time to time, ecause I
plan to revise this listing with more detailed info and better images of the car, nside & out... Like I said, he car is located in Florida and it is up to the buyer to decide how to ship it,
or you can come get the keys from me and drive it home... I feel like this 911 is sound and solid enough to drive across Country, nd has many more thousands of miles of Life and
Enjoyment to give the next owner. I am putting a higher price on the car, hich may be more than it is actually worth, n its current condition...but the reason why, s that I would
like serious tire-kickers to contact me direct to discuss more about the car, nd the logistics of actually buying and delivering it...I would like to see it go to a good home, here it is
going to be loved and brought back to its former Lustrious glory!! Please message me with your questions, omments and/ or concerns...Many Thanx! AK
