1977 Porsche 911 Targa 2.7L

1977 Porsche 911S Targa (VIN #91173F11065)

Engine: 2.7L type # 911/81 rated @ 165 bhp @ 5800 RPM Engine # 6372174)

The car is very solid, ith only some surface rust in a few spots. Not a big issue as 1977 911's got a full body dip in zinc galvanizing bath prior to paint. The result was the most rust-resistant 911 yet. Paint is original and will need work. (NOTE* Hood has black painted section. Previous owner had a car bra across the hood and water collection cause excessive surface rust. We repaired and painted this section black to match the shape of the bra, nd deal with the surface rust.)

Drives like a dream, verything mechanical is in good condition. No vibrations, obbles, queaks or creaks from the suspension or drive train.

Continuous Injection System (C.I.S.) which was Porsche's answer to the U.S. emission laws of the 70's and early 80's. The car has occasional surges during certain weather periods, ue to a warm up regulator vacuum leak, ut, uns well and pulls strong, ngine is solid. Ultimate plan was to upgrade to carbs or EFI so regulator was not messed with as it's on the back of the intake under the firewall.

At 147,322 miles, ad total high end brake job, eplacing all rotors, alipers, ads and springs. Also a full brake system flush. Replaced front inner, uter wheel bearings and seals. Replaced master cylinder and new sealing washers and grommets. Replaced the alternator, ew battery, djusted the CIS system. Full tune up with plugs, il and filter.

New carpet in front trunk.

Interior has no carpet. It was pulled to add insulation and eventually gotten rid of in favor of just getting new carpet. Both front seats will need to be worked on. Backs are fine (as seen in the pictures), ut the lower buckets need work. Rear seats are in great condition.

Targa top is in good external condition, nterior is sagging due to age and a water leak. Seals were cleaned and reworked, ut not replaced. Will need to be dealt with before leaving it out in the rain.

The car has electric windows, irrors, ntermittent wipers. All gauges work, ncluding the clock. Blaupunkt radio with amplifier under passenger seat, rofessionally installed.

Very solid car, trong runner, speed. Would be great driver, r racer. It's a great car that has been a lot of fun so far. Will put a smile on your face every time you get behind the wheel.
