Description of 1964 Porsche 356 |
Here we have someone's stalled 1964 Porsche 356 C Cabriolet project. They made it a long way to getting the car done, ots of metal work was done and they even painted it, nd then it sat. The paint looks to be the wrong color, he dash is still Slate Gray so we can assume that is the original color, ut whenever this car was painted re-sale red was someone's choice. The paint job was low quality and filler will be found underneath. Personally I would take off the red and go back to the Slate Gray. A Slate Gray over red interior is a stunning color combo! Also, ome of the outer body metal work is starting to show it's seams, o taking the car back down to metal and finishing some of that work would probably be a smart move. (see pics) A great effort was done on the underside metal with lots of new metal welded into the car, ome of it comes off a little amateurish in it's execution but it is new metal, o the new buyer can decide what to leave and what to re-do, f anything. There will be some finishing of the metal work underneath to be done. The car has a 912 engine in it that turns over by hand. Also, lot of the parts got lost along the way, any of the hard to find cabriolet parts are there like the top frame, ut lots of little bits will need to be sourced when the car goes back together. In the end you will have a C Cabriolet, hich was the pinnacle of 356 refinement and luxury, disk brake Cab is the best there ever was. Don't miss out! This car has a clear title and is ready for export. I am a 356 and Early 911S Registry member with an eBay Feedback Rating of 100%, o bid with confidence. Please ask any and all questions, hey will be answered quickly and honestly.
