1969 Porsche 912 Coupe San Francisco, A 415-205-0716 sales@carplanet.com 1969 Porsche 912 Coupe 1969 Porsche 912 Coupe. Final year of the 912 and only year with long wheelbase. Very rare original Lime/Golden Green color. Low miles on fully rebuilt engine with 1720cc big bore pistons. New brakes. Original five speed 901 transmission. Black leatherette interior. California car since 1980's. Excellent panel gaps. Rust free floors, ockers and front pan. A driver in fair condition. Will be sold with two sets of wheels (correct chromed 15" steel wheels and later Porsche 15" aluminum alloy wheels currently installed). Please email or call us at 415-205-0716, f you have any questions. Photos and VideosBody, rim and Paint Having resided mostly in California since the 1980's, he body remains in good condition. No dents or dings on outer body panels. Hood, oors and deck lid all close nicely with very nice gaps. Both doors shut with factory ping sound. The undercarriage is solid with professional rust repairs recently completed to outer rocker panels. Upper surfaces of floors have also recently been professionally stripped and treated with POR-15 rust preventive coating. Interior floor insulation was then replaced. There is some surface rust and two small rust holes in area of battery. All trim parts are in fair to good condition. All glass is in good condition. Windshield is nice and clear with no scrapes or chips. Headlight glass and front and rear light lenses show no cracks. All chrome parts show good shine. Aftermarket side mirrors are installed, ut original chrome side mirror is included. The original exterior color was of this 912 was the very rare and highly sought after Lime/Golden Green (color code 6828). Some of the original Lime/Golden Green paint is still visible in some hidden areas. Currently wearing it's first repaint in a later Porsche dark blue color, erhaps Lapis Blue. The repaint is showing a few minor chips and several areas of small blisters, ut overall it's ok for a driver. Interior The interior is in fair original condition. The original dash is in very good condition with only one small crack between the upper right corner of the speaker grille and the defroster vent. The original carpet shows no obvious wear. Front seats are very nice with no rips. Top of rear left seat back and lower right knee guard show some wear and headliner appears original with a few small tears. The gauges, witches and knobs on the face of the dash are all originals, xcept the clock which is a later quartz clock. Though not presently installed, pair of original door map pockets will be included. Electricals Headlights (low and high beams), ail lights, rake lights, icense lights, urn signals, indshield wipers and AM/FM Blaupunkt stereo are functional. The starter and generator are functioning fine. Aftermarket air horn is installed. Oil temp gauge, uel gauge and clock function. Oil pressure, enerator and emergency brake warning lights are functional. Single 12 volt battery is installed. Engine and TransmissionThe engine has been completely rebuilt with some records dated 2007. The engine (number 831572) appears to be an earlier 1966 912 engine with original dual Solex carburetors installed. Engine rebuild is partially documented and included a 1720cc big bore piston kit. Engine has been driven approximately 1000 miles since it's rebuild. The engine starts easily and accelerates with good power. The original 901 five speed transmission shifts smoothly with no grinding in any gears. Clutch feel is good with no slipping. CLICK HERE FOR ENGINE RUNNING VIDEO Suspension, heels, ires and BrakesThe suspension rides well and has that responsive and light feel that makes the 912 so much fun to drive. Rear Koni shocks are installed. Four correct 15 x 5.5" chrome steel 12/68 dated wheels with tires (valued at $700) are included with the car. Later Porsche 15" aluminum alloy wheels are currently installed and are in fair condition. They are lighter and stronger than the original wheels. The spare wheel is an original 5.5" painted steel wheel date coded 2/69 and still wearing it's original Michelin XZX tire. All four 185/60HR-15 sized BF Goodrich radial tires are in fair condition. The brakes are in good condition with service record dated 12/12/14 for rebuilt front calipers, ew front hoses and pads installed. The emergency brake is adjusted correctly and holds tight.
