Description of 1984 Porsche 911 carrera |
Hello, am selling my 1984 Porsche Carrera Vin Number WPOZZZ91ZES150956 . The car has been converted to a rebuilt 1990s era small block chevy 350 engine with TPI fuel injection. Lots of money was spent on an rust free very nice car to start. I bought it as a abandon project then put lots more money in it to bring it up to what you see here. The paint is original except the aftermarket whale tail. There are touched up chips here and there on the original paint, here are some slight dings or light dents on the front hood from being closed to hard. Porsche original makers sticker is still under hood with option codes. It has been up graded to 930 rear suspension with bilsteins. 930 clutch etc. lighter flywheel. new high toque starter. New fuel pump, trut bar, d pioneer stereo sound great etc. Gotti wheels. The front was cut for a radiator and cut in front and below front gas tank and in front of pass wheel for air flow. two fans in front two in back. I dove this around during the hot summer and after getting on it it will start to build to much heat after 8-10 miles give or take. then flow to over flow tanks slowly so I would not drive around any more, f you do not get on it it lasts much longer, ow in the cooler weather I just took it about 15 miles and it was still fine temp wise like 150 to 180 but over heats only after you turn it off. Over flows to tanks, hen sucks back in as it cools. It could be the over flow tanks are in the front and not in the rear?Or not helping isthe tpi idles to high after you warm the car up. I'm not a computer car guy. Give me a carb and I'm fine. Bu, hen at times will just idle fine. I know to be perfect I would buy and upgrade to Renegade Hybrids new $1000 radiator system. I never cared to fine out why it runs the way it does or got hot because it was just a fun coffee run to town car that is just a blast to drive and puts a smile on my face every drive. There is no heat to the cabin. I have a heater core that was never installed or fabricated into the system. Exhaust is stainless header, i flow stainless cats and a nice muffler the system all custom made and sound great but is not to loud so it is still nice to drive with the top down. 5 speed 915 transaxle shifts fine but is not like driving a american 4 speed for those not use to a Porsche you make sure to put it in each gear and you can not bang gears fast like a old camaro. LOL To many things to list and to many hours to bring the car to what you see now. Brand new blue convertible factory style top. Most every thing works like lights, windows, irror, nbsp;hor, tc. I will call this still a easy almost completed project and runs and drives just as it is but will idle to high and will over heat. It could use a $15 column bushing, klers sell a slip in one.( column moves a bit up and down, asy slip in bushing fix I never got to) and the Mo Mo wheel has wear scratches. I may of even gone to a simple carb and intake but the tip fuel injection is so cool looking I drove it as is. I also have the stock white engine lid. which if you go car, ou can hide the v8 all together. Fast, nd stops just as fast. Reason I'm selling is clutch is killing my old knee that needs a replacement (my knee that is) and can not figure a realistic way to make it a automatic. Last tach has a converter but is not accurate. Beautiful car that has been lots of fast fun. Like it feels real fast. Just the kit to convert to a v8 is about $5000 not including the cost of engine and the beautiful car and Thousands of man hours to do all the work! Car is sold as is no warrentee or guarantee expressed or implied. Miles unknown and there is no original Porsche engine. But speedo works fine and show 87000 on body ZZZ vin cars like this where build for the European market. Clear title in my name. payment will be us green funds in my hand and title will be filled out with buyers name before pickup. Car can be seen in person or questions call me at 973-525-0100 |
