Offered for sale is a 1969 Porsche 912 5-speed. This particular example is one of the very last 912s to roll off of the production line. It represents the pinnacle of Porsche 4-cylinder refinement and also ushered in the long wheelbase era. The car is finished it its original Blood Orange paint scheme. The body and substructure are rust-free. The interior, which is original, is finished in black. Per the Porsche COA, this is the matching factory original engine. Research indicates this to be a Florida car since new. The vehicle was purchased a year ago from the estate of a local Optometrist, the second owner. He possessed the car for over 30 years. In 1985, he removed all exterior and interior parts, including glass, and had it painted red. He lost interest in the project and it sat, covered in a cotton sheet and bedspreads, in his attached 2-car garage since that time. All labor on the car since that time has been completed by professionals in their respective fields. Local former Sun West Porsche service manager, Art Ryan, completed all mechanical work. Correct Glasurit paint was applied one year ago by classic car fixture Day's Paint. Many of the seals and trim parts that were replaced on the car were New Old Stock that conveyed with the purchase. All original trim pieces will convey to the new owner. Although now with Fuchs, the original chrome wheels will also accompany the car.
