This is a restored 1960 356B 1600 S Cabriolet by Reutter. Originally delivered to the first owner, Dr. Keith Neece, in December of 1959. Changing handsonly a month later the second owner, a James Richard Kerr, drove it until 1966. It started to develop engine problems around 56,000 miles and was put in storage. The 356 stayed put until 2011 when it was taken out of storage to be sold to a gentleman in San Diego, and later a collector in Florida. The restoration took place over two years and was done in a way that kept as many of the original parts as possible. Bodywork and paint was done by Alton Jones. New red leather, correct square weave carpeting, convertible top, and trunk were done by Jean-Noel Gieffeuille. Mechanical restoration of the engine, transaxle, and brakes were done by Paul Willison Werkstadt. Thewindshield, wiring, and leather straps were replaced. Instruments and brightwork were restored and polished and or re-plated if needed. This specimen comes with Ivory White Paint, Red Leather Interior, Wood Rim Steering Wheel, Blaupunkt Radio, and a Reproduction Leather Set.
