Description of 1976 Porsche 914 |
It appears that the previous winning bidder is unable to complete the sale. Up for auction is a 1976 Porsche 914 I purchased from a wrecker auction. The car had flood damage in Galveston. Tx. water got up to the floor. The owner sent the car to a body shop for restoration. This included sandblasting. new metal. and paint. While it was being restored. the owner purchased alot of new parts. I can see that the exhaust. shocks. and some engine components are new. While being restored. the owner passed away and the estate had it towed to storage. After another year sitting under a tarp. it came up for auction and I bought it. It is a very solid car. needing to be gone over as it has sat for quite some time. There are pictures of the engine being out of the car and gone through. It has a new Bursch exhaust. The floors just have surface rust. they are new. There are no signs of accident damage. I have way too many projects right now and I won't get to this one for awhile. Please feel free to ask questions or request pictures. I have applied for title and it should be in within the next week. It will have a Texas Title branded flood damage. A $200 deposit is due within 48 hours of auction end with the remainder due within 7 days of auction end. I would prefer local pick up but will work with your shipper. Once paid for. the car can stay under the tarp for a reasonable amount of time. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. On Jan-15-15 at 14:09:02 PST. seller added the following information:I have more pictures of the engine and underneath the rear of the car. The heat exchangers are new as well. Looks like they didn't start the car after replacing the exhaust as the stickers are still on the muffler. Call or text me with you e-mail address if you would like me to send you the pictures.
