Description of 1975 Porsche 911 |
1975 Porsche 911S with slant nose 930 conversion in the very rare code 335 Special order blue color (Gemini Metallic). Conversion was extremely well done probably in the 80's using fiberglass front fenders. rear flares. and whale tail. When I purchased the car years ago it had been painted white and I spent thousands last year (and months) having the car torn apart and re-painted in the original color. At that time the original windshield. as well as all other windows. doors. etc. were removed to paint it correctly. Since the windshield was "foggy" at the edges. I purchased a replacement and had it installed upon completion of the re-paint. A small amount of rust was found on the driver's side where the bottom of the windshield meets the body as well as on the front of the drip chanel under the hood but nowhere else. Pictures of the untouched underside as well as floors are included to show the absence of rust in this car. Engine is a period correct 2. 7L that now has twin webers. up-graded fan. different head studs of course. as well as racing tensioners and the heater boxes and thermal reactors were removed to accomodate the header and "turbo" muffler. Car sounds very nice and runs cool even in Phoenix temperatures. The current. clean and clear title shows 55800 actual miles (Box A in Arizona) and odometer now reads approximately 62. 55 miles. I can't confirm the accuracy but have no reason to doubt it since there was no mileage discrepancy at the time of my purchase. Tires have 6. 00 miles on them and are on genuine. 3-piece BBS turbo wheels color-matched to the car. These were taken apart last year. cleaned. sealed and have all new hardware; these alone are 3k or so. if you can find them. Interior is nice with small cracks in original dash. some wear on driver's seat bolster. and the original white roof liner is a little dirty and has a couple of small perforations. Carpet is new. all gauges work (yes. even the clock) and there are no rear seat pads. The car drives very well and handles like a go-kart (has new shocks/inserts on all 4 corners) and the only time it has left me on the side of the road is when the ignition box failed which will happen to all older 911's at some point. I purchased a replacement Bosch unit and it has been perfect since. The carburetors may have to be adjusted/jets changed depending on your altitude but this is an easy process. I have spent thousands in maintenance in the last few years and even more in the full repaint and the car looks beautiful. If you don't like people taking pictures of you as you are sitting at a light or driving down the highway at 80 miles an hour. then this is not the car for you. As with any 40-year old car. it has it's quirks but is a blast to drive. It needs to be driven more than I have as now there is a slight leak from one of the valve cover gaskets and it does drip some oil. The reserve is set at a very fair price and is a fraction of what a 930 slant nose would cost you. and is much less than the money I've invested in the car. It is beautiful. in my opinion. and the buyer should not be disappointed. Take a look at the pictures and I think you'll agree with me. Please feel free to contact me through the e-mail link or at (602) 317-7797 if you have any questions or need more pictures. The car is 40 years old so in no way is it perfect. It is sold with no warranties expressed or implied. |
