Description of 1984 Porsche 944

You're viewing my 1984 Porsche 944 (normally aspirated) sunroof coupe. I recently bought this car ONLY for the Fuchs rims to be used on another project I'm working on. They have since been removed and now the car is wearing factory 17" rims off a Porsche Cayenne (considered strictly as "rollers", but rims are in nice condition-see pic for example of style). Two of the tires are brand new, the other two have little life left, but again are to be considered used only as "rollers" for this particular vehicle due to incorrect offset. These rims and the two good tires should be able to be sold for at least $400 to put towards whatever wheel/tire setup you desire.
The car has been sitting garaged inside for several years and is not running. I do not know the condition of the engine or tranny/running gear, but I was told by the guy I bought it from it was running when parked but needs a distributor (as you can see in the engine pic it is missing). Being sold "mileage exempt" due to age of car. A small box of parts that came off the car will be included (see pic). Overall the car is a decent start for a restoration or convert to a track car. I haven't seen any rust and it appears to have never been in any major accident. Obviously the driver's side had a minimal impact at some point and needs repaired. You will notice in the pics the front hood is not shut completely, as the release mechanism/cable inside the cabin has been cut and I didn't want to not be able to easily open it again (will be strapped down for safe shipping).
The car has been repainted in its original gold color at some point, but to look great should be repainted again. The outside driver's door handle is inoperable (must reach across from inside passenger side to open...simple fix). The driver's vinyl seat cover has some damage to it, and new upholstery covers are readily available and not that expensive. The dash and speaker cover do have some cracking. All glass and trim appears good. Overall the interior is fairly clean for its age. Aftermarket CD player installed. Again, I do not know much about the car as I only purchased it for the Fuchs rims, which are not included in the sale.
