1977 Porsche 911 S Targa This 1977 911S Targa is a one family owned car with 91,000 miles. This car was brought to us by a local client that acquired the car from his father several years earlier. The Targa was originally Silver Metallic and painted red bya previousowner. The Targa was not in running condition the first time it entered our service shop so the previous owner had the fuel tank, fuel filter, and fuelinjectors replaced to get the car running. The Targa wasthen purchasedfrom the previous ownerafter decidingthe workrequired to make the 911 roadworthy would require more of an investment. The exterior andinterior showas newdue to Porsche Colorado Springs makinga decision to have thevehicle repainted bySuperior Automotive in Pueblo, Colorado. Allexterior trim including seals and gaskets were replaced during the complete repaint process. There areno blemishes to theexteriorsince the car has been driven very little since completion ofbeing refinished. Thetarga topwasrebuiltby well knownDave Brown in Boulder, Co. A complete engine overhaul was not required due to the cylinder leak and compressiontest resultsin great standing.1% - 4% leakage on all cylinders with 140psi - 145psi compression on all cylinders. (test results noted below) It is noted the engine has a slight oil leak from theback of engine when car sits for extended periods without being drivenwhich is considered to be normal.
