Description of 1973 Porsche 911 |
||
I’m selling my Porsche, I didn’t think this day would ever come but I’ve decided to sell it! I bought this Porsche back in 1996 in Seattle, Washington from the third owner which makes me the fourth. I can’t remember the exact time frame but he owned it for about two or three years. He bought it from the second owner and he told me the second owner owned it for approximately, 14 or 15 years. And the original owner kept it for about five years. That makes me the longest owner of this 1973.5 911T Targa. This Targa was Originally canary yellow and I kept it that way until I painted Silver in 2004/5 with German Glasurit w/beige primer. It was stripped to the bare metal and everything was removed except the engine, wiring, gauges and dashboard. Therefor, it wasn’t a true extensive rotisserie paint job. The only body panels that were replaced during the paint job was the two left and right rear bumper pieces because of small amounts of rusts. While the car was stripped I’ve redone the whole interior of the car. Both driver and passenger seats were re-upholstered along with the rears seats and the interior carpets as well. The door panels were replaced with aftermarket leather RS style latches. All of the rubber pieces were replaced as well. The car has been sitting and it hasn't been driven since the paint job. I was away, moved to another state and it was never driven. Currently, its sitting with a dead battery with flats. everything on this Porsche is original including the dash. The only parts that were replaced is the metal rear bumpers (left and right) pieces, door panels, interior and updated H4headlight and lenses. All Porsche. These CIS-powered cars are usually referred to as "1973.5" models by enthusiasts. The new K-Jetronic CIS (Continuous Fuel Ingection) system from Bosch.
