This is probably the most solid 914 that exists. It is from Eastern Oregon and is the perfect basis for a track or street project. In addition to being rust-free. the body panels are straight and the gaps are all uniform. There is no evidence of prior collision damage. The exterior is white and presentable. The original color of the car was yellow. Whoever did the color change. did a proper job painting all of the door jambs and other exposed areas. The original yellow is visible in only a few areas such as under carpeting. The seats are in need of new seat covers. The foam is good. There are remnants of the original plaid fabric seat inserts. The door panels are presentable but need some attention to the fastenings. The dash top is cracked. Carpeting is presentable. On a comprehensive inspection of the car on a lift. we found the following body/chassis issues:Right Rear Jack Point. looks like it was somehow bent down and where it bent. some corrosion is evident - see photosIn the center of the bottom edge of the engine compartment bulkhead. there is a rusted hole that is approx. 3" wide by 3/8" tall - see photosThere is slight indications of hitting speed-bumps or something similar on the forward area of the floor-pan - factory undercoating is still intact and this is a real non-issue but wanted to be sure to mention it. Again. see photos. Battery Tray is solid and without rust but for some reason. it looks like someone attached an aftermarket tray on top of the factory tray. The suspension is tight and sound. Brakes appear to be in good condition. Tires are holding air and have good tread left on them however; they are aged. All instruments look good but are un-tested due to engine being out of car. The engine is dismantled with some new parts. Cylinder heads have been cleaned and serviced with new valves. Cylinders have been machined and there are new 93mm pistons & rings. Other new engine parts are included including gaskets and other misc. components. Also: a complete spare engine is included. I know nothing about the condition of the spare engine - I think it is a 1. 7Litre engine. I don't recall the Odometer Reading and also can not of course confirm its accuracy so I put zero miles in the listing. I personally think that the 914 Porsche is the best handling of all of the vintage Porsche's and these make tremendous track or vintage race cars. The 4-cyl. 914 engine can be built to really perform and deliver lots of torque and horsepower.
