Description of 1978 Porsche 911 |
I am the 3rd Owner of the vehicle, previous owner for more than 20 years.Originally red SC and in the 1990's he decided to do an 994 Turbo S Replica. The car was stripped down, a steel wide body conversion and full paint in yellow was done.At thattime he got a hold of a 3.3L engine and decided to upgrade the tired 3.0. I got the car about 18 months ago, the car was stored on his garage for the last 5-6 years. See the picture when we pulled it outside the garage. All the work was done on our family business Meca Car Wash and Service Center you can search us on Facebook and Google. We have been doing business in Puerto Rico for more than 40 years and are winers of the local Chamber of Commerce Service Business Award on 2015. Most of the parts used on this work were purchased from Vertex in Miami, FL. You can contact Leo and ask about us. Also I am a member of Pelican forum under the alias ivanuf, there you can see postings of this and other projects I have done in the past. The car has $10,000+ in parts and 150hrs. + of labor. You can no recreate this vehicle for less than $40K to $45K that if you can find a wide body with good engine/transmission for less than $20k (unreal on this market) I have done the following repairs and upgrades:Removal of after market radio and alarm and install of Alpine head unit with speakers and bluetooth New brake pads front and rear. New Rear Sway Bar Brackets, Bar and Bushings (it was missing) New sway bar bushings front New gauge faces(black) and painted needles Gauges sent to NH speedometer for verification and calibration. Dash repair and recover Removed aftermarket seats and installed Carrera electric seats Fix sun roof (new cables, motor bushing and panel seals) Fixed power windows and new OEM switches New RS carpet install New RS door panels Paint of wheels and new center caps (4) New Nitto tires Clean gas tank New fuel pump and fuel filter New A/c fender condenser New A/c hoses Repair driver door hinge New rear tail light cover Re-paint lower side, front and rear flares. Removed engine and transmission for cleanup and tune up Painted engine bay area New engine insulation pad New clutch New shifter bushings New engine valve cover gaskets New engine intake gasket New engine CAM and RPM sensors New spark plugs and cables Intake cleanup, paint and Rebuilt injectors Recondition Alternator New engine cooling fan Powder coating of engine tins and fan cover New engine bay seals New engine and hood shocks New vacuum hoses Restoration of interior dash pads, rear interior quarter covers New seatbelts New Coco mats The car has NO heater and no catalytic converters or O2 sensors. I was at the Mecum auction in Kissimmee last January and there were only a couple of all the 911's for sale as nice as this one. All the mechanicals and electrical are sorted and up date. The car can go cross country as soon as you buy it. You can leave if as is and use it or it will be an excellent base for a backdate project. I will post all the photos I have on my flickr account you can search for ivanuf and there you will see more pictures of the car and the work done. The car has some minor dents and scratches but they are not many and there are detailed pictures on the flickr album. Also I uploaded a couple of videos with details of the car. Look in youtube for user ivanuf2 to see them. The car is located in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Shipping to PR to the main land is the same as shipping from state to state. There are ships that sail every week and the price is very affordable. The cars in Puerto Rico have to comply with the same regulations as in the states and they are US market cars. I have sold several cars in the past via eBay to the states. If you are a serious bidder my recommendation is to contact. puertoricocartransport (google it) or call 1-904-322-7644 for an exact quote form the port of San Juan to your location. You will arrange shipping to your desired location and they will give you a reservation number. Once I have that, I will deliver the car to the port for shipping and send you pictures along the process. For example the last car I sold was a GTO and shipping from San Juan to Louisiana was about $2,000. |
