Description of 1954 Porsche 356 |
Hi all. I am selling my awesome 1954 Porsche 356 Cabriolet Emory Outlaw. I have owned it since 2009. It is a fantastic looking car that handles unlike many/most 356s - it is very planted. sounds amazing and is an absolute joy to look at. Those who know Gary and Rod Emory know that in the world of 356 Outlaws. nbsp;they did not just coin the term. but they are simply the best out there. partsobsolete and emorymotorsports dot comA few details in addition to below:Headlights and tail lights work (no turn signals/horn) - but fuse and wiring harness is intact. Doors are bolted shut - but hardware to make doors open and close is included. Car is currently licenced. but if you were going to make it a regular driver. I would suggest adding first gear back (it is currently 2. . . for racing - it can start off in 2. but is not as easy as 1st gear naturally) and/or detuning the engine slightly (probably best for an inspection now anyway) - and soften the cam etc. I mix 50/50 94 octane and 105 race fuel when I drive it - just to be safe. I do not have the windshield frame or top. The pictures with the '8' on it. are several years old - but the car is in great shape - heavily racing patina (stone chips) across the nose (that look amazing imho). but very straight and as 'free of rust' as a 356 gets. The pics without the 8 were taken in the past several months. Wheels are now powder coated matching 944 turbo spares - very light and very trick while still looking period correct. I have the original book with sketches. pictures and details from the build. Any questions please feel free to ask - I may have a delay but will try to get back to all questions/inquiries.
