Description of 1984 Porsche 928 Leather interior

Owned since June 2009

Work performed since ownership:

Timing belt, tensioner, water pump and front seals 96,000 miles

Rebuild alternator

New radiator hoses and drive belts

New plug wires, rotor cap and rotor

Engine mounts

Hood pad replaced.

Install after market rims and new tires (original rims and spacers with car)

Reupholster front seats in correct leather and reupholster rear seat backs to match (French seams used instead of seam beads)

Completely rebuild AC system ( all seals and o-rings, new expansion valve, receiver/dryer and correctly rebuilt compressor)

Rebuild power steering rack, new inner and outer rod ends

Steering wheel, shifter and glove box lid recovered with correct leather

New battery (6 months ago)

New front rotors

The good: Very solid example of 1984 928S, excellent interior for age of car and original paint.

The not so good: Sound system is essentially stock and sounds like it, antenna mast should be replaced, and electric remote rear hatch release doesn't work.
