Description of 1987 Porsche 924 S |
FOR SALE: 1987 Porsche 924S, Guards Red, black interior, not new, not perfect, but very nice. years, 1987-88. 96K documented miles, numbers matching; factory 2.5L fuel injected 4 cyl. 944 motor, 5 speed (G50), complete new and updated Sachs clutch, stainless brake lines, new Gates Kevlar timing belt and and balance belt, pulleys, etc., waterpump, thermostat, and fan thermoswitch and temp sender, new Bilstein shocks andstruts, cold A/C, Blaupunkt AM/FM/Cassette, Michelin tiresin good shape,15 inch factory Phone Dial alloy rims. Complete service history. Regular 3k mileoil changes. NADA average retail is $9,600. Make me an offer. Seriously.... This Lil Red beauty deserves to be cared for and driven, not sitting. I bought a 911S in February and only so much room in the garage. (My wife wants her garage spot back). Help a fellow out here guys!... (The brown 911 in pics is NOT for sale)... I recently drove this 924S to St. Louis for the Euro Car Show, a few of the last photos are from there. Lots of interest at this price point, compared to the Lambos, Ferraris, and new Porsches all going six figures; but no one took it home. You can, and for a whole lot less. You won't be disappointed. I have enjoyed it for 9 years, without a regret. Have driven it to Virginia and back, and would do so tomorrow without any hesitation whatsoever. In fact, for the price of a The smile on your face that comes with it, and the waves from those who appreciate it are free and thrown in.... Just saw an article in the London Evening Standard about these cars and their increasing value....check it out: http://www.standard.co.uk/lifestyle/motors/classictobuyporsche924-a3549651.html. The author's point is confirmed by a recent pair of sales at Sotheby's. A similar car (with only 43K miles) sold at the Amelia Island auction for $19,800 in March; and another at the Paris sale (with 15K miles) had a reserve and is still offered at 50K euros currently. Try to find another in thiscondition. (I worked at thelocal dealership in 1977; boughtthis car in 2007 - so it took me 30years....). :-) Get yours now! |
