Description of 1972 Porsche 911 Targa |
Chassis# 9112110989 Engine# 6122329 Paint Code: 324/9/3 Metallic Blue (Special order) A 1972 Porsche 911T Targa 2.4 liter. Special order Metallic blue with a tan interior. One owner car from new. Matching number engine was confirmed from Porsche of North America. COA is applied for. 60,000 original miles. Original paint and interior. Completely rust free as you can see in the pictures. Just surface rust on the hood due to water damage from a constant dripping while in storage. Every single panel on this car is original and straight, the gaps are perfect all around. This car was bought from the showroom by a US Air Force pilot who was stationed in Germany in 1972. When he came back home to Nevada, the car came with him, and over the years was registered by him in South Carolina and then Michigan. It was last registered and on the road in 1982. Due to the moves some items are missing such as the MFI system (The engine was taken out of the car to rebuild but it wasn't done, and it was set up with Zenith carburetors.) Internal parts for the gearbox are missing, (the housing is there, and has a number on it which is correct for the year, but cannot be verified as matching.) Books and service records are also missing. The original interior is all there but showing its age.It has original Blaunpunkt radio. Good glass all the way around. The car has five matching 15 inch Fuchs with date stamp 2/72 along with the original toolkit (tools are rusty). This is one of those 'comes along once in years' opportunities to own and completely restore an untouched true survivor! Any questions welcome. Please message or call Frank Sajjad at 2166452100. (We can help to make arrangements for worldwide shipping.) Shipping cost to Rotterdam or Felixstowe, UK is $1,500 I keep the right to cancel the auction any time if I get good offer. |
