This is a super rare car in amazing condition. With a launch speed of 0-60 in 5.3 seconds, this Porsche ate Ferrari 328 GTS for lunch back in the day. If you don't believe us, take a read here of its performance specs. The general condition of this unrestored Porsche 944 Turbo S is unbelievable. It has EVERYTHING in its original state even the floor mats, and everything is in original condition! It appears to have been stored in a climate controlled garage, and was carefully cared & maintained. Recently it has only been driven occasionally on a sunny day to keep the engine in tune, and it has always been stored carefully. For a near 30 year old car in original condition, it is near immaculate inside and out. The interior smells of Porsche engineering! It has SUPER smooth and glossy paint with only a few spots that show its patina yet these imperfections are really only noticeable from from very close up.

NOTE: This 944 Turbo S has not been restored. It has survived time and shows its age splendidly. It drives amazing!! Porsche utilized a transaxle in the 944 Turbo S to help achieve 50/50 front/rear weight distribution, aiding the car's balance. Although it weighed more than the difficult-to-handle 911, its more neutral weight balance and higher power output gave it similar performance on the track. This 944 Turbo S starts right up from stone cold, and runs and drives! The engine has low miles on it (67,165). The 2.5L 250 HP engine starts immediately and rumbles with beautiful sound. It accelerates quick, and really moves. It drives laser straight and smooth! The lights all work and the headlights go up and down. Everything else appears to work nicely. Porsche equipped the 944 with a more powerful alloy 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. To counter some of the vibration that was associated with the 924, Porsche installed a Mitsubishi-patented Lanchester balance shaft.

Better than its speed or power was the 944’s handling. In 1984, Car and Driver named the 944 the “Best Handling Production Car in America.” A four-wheel disc brake setup and wide 215/60-15 tires complemented its balanced chassis, and wide fender flares reminiscent of Audi’s Ur-Quattro helped the car look the part. These 944 Turbo S models are very difficult to find in this quality condition. The exterior of this 944 is pretty much spotless. It has a wonderful finish and only shows it's age in a few spots. It has smooth and glossy, almost wet looking, paint as you can tell in the photos with only one or two minor spots that show its patina yet these imperfections are really only noticeable from inches away by a discerning eye.

The inside will transport you to an age gone by. An age of R.E.M. and newcomer Nirvana blasting out of radios, and executives showing off their car phones! It is in original condition and a wonderful one at that. The original Burgandy Plaid upholstered seats are in good condition and only have wear showing on the driver seat and rear seat backs. We have replacement upholstery available if buyer desires. Although you will see the wear on the drivers seat, IT IS SOLID. The carpet is original and pretty much SPOTLESS. No smoking is evident.
