Description of 1975 Porsche 914 |
Rare 1975 Porsche 914. (smog exempt) This car 40 year old classic has – Targa top. New interior. seats. door panel. back panel. German Square Weave carpet. 2. 0 Sport Counsel. 5 speed transmission. new upper dash. Sam Brown center weave leather center dash. New upper panel padded dash. new windshield imported from Germany. new rubber windshield rubber. new paint - the list goes on. Over $14. 00 invested in restoration. All receipts go with the car. It’s like factory new inside and out. top to bottom and underneath. This vehicle hadn’t been licensed since 2009. It’s 1st time on the streets was 2 weeks ago. This was the1st year “all rubber bumper” 914 and it grabs attention where-ever you go. The serial number on the case shows it as a 2. 0. however the manifold and fuel injection system are that of a 1. 8. For that reason I’m identifying it as a 1. 8 Liter with all the benefits of a 2. 0 Original Factory color (Forrest Green) shines like glass. Near full restoration – pictures show detail. If you wanted one of these in the 70’s but too busy raising a family – now’s the time to reward yourself. There are few 914’s left. The sudden re-discovery of this car made them hard to find – especially in this condition. No expense was spared. Renowned Autobahn Interiors did a magnificent job on the seats and German Square Weave carpets. Auto Atlanta and Pelican Parts provided most of the parts. We even installed new turn signal. and wiper switches on the steering column. The underside of this car looks factory new. Between 1969 and 1976 there were approximately 115. 46 four cylinder 914’s produced. This included the 1. 7. 1. 8 and 2. 0 Liter engines. Production of the 914 ended in 1976. Renewed attention and collection of this car began about 4 years ago as they become harder and harder to find – especially in this condition. |
