Description of 1994 Porsche 928 GTS |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Up for auction is a rare 1994 Porsche 928 GTS. The car is painted black with cashmere interior. The seats have contrasting black piping and Porsche crests embossed in the headrests (a very rare option). A list of the option codes has been included at the end of the description. The car was originally purchased in the fall of 1994 from Sportique Porsche in Huntington, NY. The original owner kept the car until 2003 when it was purchased by a well respected 928 enthusiast. We purchased the car from the second owner in 2015. The AutoCheck report shows that the car has had four owners because the second owner first registered the car in the name of his business and then transferred it to his own name. The car comes with all of its original tools (including the often-absent wheel lock cap removal tool), service records dating back to the original owner, the original window sticker, one people's choice PCA concours award, and a certificate as the PCNA Club Car of the Month. This 928 was displayed in the museum at Porsche's North American headquarters in Atlanta Georgia in January and February of 2018 as the PCNA Club Car of the Month. The timing belt, water pump, engine mounts, oil pan gasket, oil filler neck, rubber fuel lines, A/C belt, and rear wheel well liners were replaced in 2015. The rear wheel well liners are usually degraded after 20+ years, and Porsche recently began reproducing them in (supposedly) stronger material. The new liners are OEM parts. In addition to the services mentioned above, new Bilstein struts were installed, the PSD system was rebuilt in 2015 and new ignition coils and tires (Yokohama S Drive) were installed in December of 2017. This 928 has been maintained with no expenses spared. The car was involved in a fender bender back in 2002. I was told that the accident took place at the front, and have spoken to the previous owner's mechanic who informed me that he never saw any signs of damage. Our mechanic has also never seen any signs of damage that would suggest the accident damaged anything that wasn't purely cosmetic. Car is sold as-is with no warranty expressed or implied. I can help with shipping arrangements. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me and I will do my best to respond or provide additional pictures if you would like. Happy bidding!
