Description of 1965 Porsche 356 SC |
This 1965 Porsche 356 SC coupe is a very late production example that was purchased by the previous owner in 1977 and acquired by me in 2014. The previous owner performed an engine rebuild in 1994 and a bare metal repaint in the original Irish Green in 2010. It has been modified with Weber carburetors, a dual circuit brake master cylinder, and electric fuel pump, and it is in very good running and driving condition. The interior is original Fawn leather front seats and matching vinyl on the door panels and rear seats. This 356 was originally optioned with a Becker Europa radio, which remains in place. Two aftermarket speakers are fitted in the stock locations, and tan colored Cocomats are fitted in the place of the green items specified by the Porsche COA. The car has now a wood-rimmed steering wheel but you`ll also receive the original item. The original wheel is shown in the gallery. The 1600cc flat-four was rebuilt in 1994 and produced 95 hp. The previous owner states that the rebuild was mostly to stock specification, and the original carburetors were replaced with Webers. The floors, longitudinals, rockers, and door jambs all are original and free of rust. Koni shock absorbers were fitted in 2012. A luggage rack is fitted, and includes black leather tie-down straps. The wheels are factory 4 1/2' Porsche items, three of which are dated 3/1964, and two 11/1965. Vredstein Sprint tires are fitted and measure 165R15 with a 2008 date code. This 356SC is sold with a PorscheCertificate of Authenticity (COA) showing the original configuration and a clean title in my name. |
