I am selling this car for a friend. I have been involved with classic automobiles for almost 40 years. I have built and restored many Corvettes and Porsches and am a member of numerous car clubs including PCA & 356 Registry & NCRS. I have judged at many concour events in and around Southern CA. This is a stellar, turn-key automobile at the highest-level of build quality. I hesitate to call the car concour because it has been driven, but it is indeed at a minimum a condition 2+. The body & paint as well as interior and engine bay are all in #1 condition. The seats have some wear to the leather but have a really nice patina-ed look to them.

The Vintage 550 Spyder is a replica of the legendary Porsche 550 Spyder. This car was a turnkey example built in 2008 by Vintage Spyder when they were in Stanton, CA. The car has been maintained to a very high level. It has always been garaged and has never been hit or damaged and still wears the factory original paint.

I have driven many 550’s over the last ten or twelve years and own an Intermeccanica Speedster. This is one of the finest and most fun cars I have ever driven. It handles like a go-cart on rails with incredible acceleration in a lightweight car. The steering and braking are precise and top notch.

The body and paint on this car are a 9.8 out of 10. The body is flawless and clearly has never been damaged. The paint is flat and mirror-like two-stage paint that matches in color and consistency all around the car. Look at the close up pictures of the shut lines and down the sides to see just how perfectly put together these cars are.

The interior features some original gauges that have been re-faced by Hollywood Speedometers ($2500) to look exactly like original 550 gauges. The gauges were added later and the mileage does not represent the mileage on the car.

The owner believes that car has approximately 40K miles on it. The Subaru engine was sourced with approximately 60K miles and was totally gone through. Since rebuild the engine has roughly 15K miles on it. The Rhino Transmission has around 5000 miles since it was purchased two years ago.

The interior is in near perfect condition. The gauges and all turn signals, lights etc work perfectly. This is a turn-key automobile that starts with a turn of a key and drives flawlessly. This little 550 set up with the fuel-injected Subaru is simply amazing, starts right up and operates like a modern car…

The remaining balance must be made in the form of a bank transfer (preferred) Cashier'scheck, or bank check (all forms of payment subject to verification).
