Description of 1972 Porsche 911 E |
Up for sale is my Clean Title 1972 911E rolling chassis. I originally purchased the car to do a complete street/track rebuild on the car, but have gotten far too busy with my other 911 projects. This car is rust free, and had a successful racing careeer prior to being stripped down to a rolling shell. The car has mostly been converted to fiberglass, but does have metal doors, front fenders, and a real metal long hood. Fenders are from an SC. Rear flares were cut off and replaced with fiberglass. The original targa bar was cut off and a full roll cage was welded in place. A fiberglass roof was affixed in place of the targa setup to save weight. The suspension is Bilstein Yellow's, and upgrades torsion bars. Brake setup is excellent, with a 930 master cylinder powering a Boxster big brake conversion. Wheels are bogarts off another race car I had. Plan was to go wider with this car, thus the wider wheels. I simply have too many other projects to keep thinking this one is going to get done. Now is your opportunity to get into a clean title 911 shell and make it your own, from the ground up. Would make an excellent race, or hotrod outlaw candidate for the right body guy/metal worker, or someone who wants to build something totally radical like an electric 911. Car is located in San Diego and is for local pickup or buyer organized flatbed towing. Best of luck! Clean title smog exempt 911s are getting hard to come by, especially an E chassis! |
