Description of 1985 Porsche 911 |
Hi guys - My 911 has been built over the past 4 or so years and is 99% finished, she just needs the final touches and a little fettling here and there. Mechanically, she is 100% built and a SOLID drivers car. By finishing touches, I just mean she needs a proper suspension set up and a good compound polish. As you can see by the pictures, she looks fantastic! The paint is super shiny, about 3 years old, in really good condition but does have a few tiny chips and defects - nothing that couldn't be brought back to concourse if desired, but for me, my vision for her was a solid drivers car - not a garage queen anyway. Trust me when I say I DO NOT want to part with her, and I wouldn't unless it was absolutely necessary... of which it is. My wife and I have been trying to start a family for years now, and unfortunately it can't be done the normal way, so will be needing more fertility treatments / procedures to make it happen, and that costs an arm and a leg. SO... our 911 is up for sale. I've been doing my homework on price as we need as much as possible to go towards fertility treatments, but we also want a quick sale. I've been advised from multiple people/owners all across the board that bare minimum should be 65k as this is a very high spec'd car and you can't build it at this price. Obviously, the more the better lol, but like I said, at the end of the day we're just needing a quick sale, so I'm selling this car at a huge loss - but needs must. Here's the build spec: - 1985 911 160K but engine rebuilt about 6 years ago (last owner) ::: PAINT & BODY ::: - 9" Front and Rear ST style Fenders fully molded and blended. - Full Respray in Guards Red by a local Pebble Beach concours winning body shop. - Front R style horn vent delete fully molded into the fenders. - Rear R Style light cluster also molded seamlessly into the fender. - All original window trim removed and polished except front and rear window trim, they were replaced. - All new rubber seals and gaskets. - OE porsche flag style side mirrors. - OE Bosch H4 headlamps with chrome trim ring. - Original decklid with whale tail removed, holes welded and chrome grill installed. - Later style side sill covers removed, holes filled. Unsightly Jacking points removed. ::: WHEELS / TIRES ::: - Real 15" Minilite wheels, handmade in England specifically for this car, aluminum, not magnesium. - Hoosier Tires, 225 / 45/15 Fronts, 275/35/15 Rears. ::: INTERIOR ::: - Original dashboard, removed and reupholstered in leather to match the seats and steering wheel. - French Stitch detail in white to match wheel. - Driver and passenger door caps covered in matching leather. - Complete interior dynamat. - Full RS style carpet set. - Momo Prototipo steering wheel - genuine Italian leather. - ST style seats, handmade in Italy. - Italian leather and German wool houndstooth inner panels. - Rennline driver and passenger mat set - Rennline pedals, dead pedal and heel / toe extensions. - 917 style beech shift knob. - RS America style interior door panels. - Replacement sun visors. - New black aluminum threshold driver and passenger. ::: SUSPENSION / DRIVETRAIN ::: - Front and Rear Elephant Racing Adjustable sway bars. - Offset camber plates - New trailing arm bushes. - Every piece of the suspension was removed, blasted and powder coated. - New front shocks. - All new brakes and stainless brake lines. - New lower ball joints. - New oils and fluids everywhere. - All new bushes and pivots in the shift linkage. - Engine was removed and inspected, leakdown numbers at 4% all engine tins blasted and powder-coated. - All new belts, filters etc. - Bursch headers wrapped in heat shield. - Stainless steel M&K R Style 2 in 2 out muffler. - Replacement clutch cable - Replacement clutch (pressure plate, friction plate, all bearings.) - All new wheel bearings. SO... very extensive and not exactly done on the cheap! If you made it this far I appreciate your time... and attention span, lol. Thanks! - Dan |
