Suspension refinements. larger brakes and a strengthened four-speed gearbox rounded out the package. which included a functional "whale-tail" rear spoiler. wider rear wheels. upgraded tires. and flared rear wheel wells. Simply called the "Turbo". it was released in 1975 with export to the U. S. starting in 1976. The 930 (internal designation) proved fast but demanding; however. skilled drivers quickly learned how to drive it properly and beyond the limits of most other sports cars.   Completed in December of 1978 this non-catalyst 1979 Turbo produced for the North American market is equipped with electric sliding sunroof and air conditioner among other of the 930's luxuries. The original Guards Red over Cork Leather upholstery is a great combination. The car received an exterior repaint of the original color years ago. but otherwise the Turbo is very original throughout. The interior's upholstery was replaced to factory specs and quality. with correct trim and glass. while the original 9/79 dated owner's manual resides in the glove box. Alloy wheels and correct exhaust remain fitted. Both front and rear compartments reflect the overall originality.
