Description of 1968 Porsche 911

Here is your chance of chance of a lifetime to finish off a numbers matching, COA Porsche 911 that was built with an open checkbook. This car has been in my life for at least the past 12 years or so. Here is the back story.
I owned a custom bodyshop in Northbrook Illinois that was known for doing incredible work, Autowerks of Northbrook. Google Autowerks Porsche or Ron Durchin Porsche and you will see what we did.
I was contracted by Midwest Performance in Chicago to paint this car. I picked it up from Fall Line Racing after they built the cage and got to work. The owner of the car was extremely methodical and demanded the best. The result was a paint job with 12 layers of clearcoat and a mirror finish. The bill for the paint was $60,000. When I was done the car went back to Midwest Performance for completion. Unfortunately, during the completion the owner was injured, in a non car related incident and gave up on the project. At that point, since I loved the car so much, I purchased the 911 from the owner.
For a year or two it sat in my showroom, graced the cover of a magazine but never got the attention it deserved. As my business grew, I worked on her occasionally until I retired. Now its your chance to finish her.
