Description of 1974 Porsche 914 BBR (Beach Boys Racing)

I recently found a 1974 Porsche 914 Beach Boys Racing Steal Body Monterey in the middle of no where in Oklahoma and had to rescue this very rare and special car. I have been in contact with the owners of BBR (Beach Boys Racing) in California and they have told me only 109 Montereys were ever made and only 6 of those were steal bodies. He also told me that they do still have all the molds to make the parts so you can finish this car 100% or make it run and drive it like it is. Once again this is a 1 of 6 car. You will most likely never have another opportunity to own one of these insanely rare cars. Here is what I know about the history of this car:The BBR Steal kit was installed in 1996 and the owner put over $25. 00 into the car with over $4. 00 in wheels and tires alone. In 2005 this car was sold in Mount Dora. Florida for $12. 00 to the people I bought the car from that live in Spiro. nbsp;Oklahoma. The only other history I have on the car is that it last drove in 2009. was last started in 2013 and then was parked in a barn. The car is now being stored in my garage in Fort Smith. Arkansas. I have personally cleaned the car and gone over it to figure out what all needs to be done to get it back on the road and here is what I've found:- Rats have chewed through some of the wiring but the harness can be patched without replacing- Oil looks really good so no water has been inside the motor- Rust isn't too bad compared to most Porsche 914s. the "hell holes" are rusty and there is some other patch work that needs to be done- The BBR Steal kit was done very very well. gaps look great and only some paint damage is present (The body is so strong you can sit on the flares. it really was done correctly)- The 17in OZ Racing 5 Lug Wheels look very good and if anything are worth a few thousand alone. high performance tires do hold air and are also in very good shape. I think with maybe a few days of work this car could be running and driving again. If I had a shop I would never let this car go because I know that I will never see another one. This car will only go up in value unless a tree falls on it or something stupid happens. I have the Clean Oklahoma Title that was issued 5/30/2008. I have the two car ads posted by the Original Owner in Florida. and I have one key that is a little bent but if you are careful you can bend it straight and have a new key made. Here is a little bit of my 914 experience:When I was in 7th grade my Dad found a 1974 Porsche 914 on eBay and ended up buying it for me for my first car and I instantly fell in love with it. In 2007 my 914 blew a fuel line and burnt while I was driving it. I did end up buying a 914 parts car to replace a lot of the burnt stuff but the project is just waiting on more money at this point. I will never sell my original 914. This 914 BBR is the rarest 914 and the rarest car I have ever seen and I know I will never see another one. The only way this BBR will be sold is if I know for sure it is going to a good home. Payment will be $200 sent to my PayPal within 24 hours of the end of the auction and the rest of the money in cash on pickup of the car within 15 days. Any other arrangements will need to be made with me as soon as possible. I can make a better deal on the car if we make the transaction elsewhere. ***I DO HAVE A LOT MORE PICTURES OF THIS CAR. SEND ME A MESSAGE WITH YOUR EMAIL SO I CAN SEND YOU ALL THE PICTURES!!!***If you have any questions at all please message me on here or on my email mired914@yahoo. com. nbsp;call. or text me at (479) 414-9798. Thanks for your interest!-WillOn Mar-16-15 at 06:41:13 PDT. seller added the following information:I have become aware that I misspelled "steel". My bad. no need to go out of your way to point it out. I can't do anything about it now. Also if you are truly interested in the car send me a message. let me email you some detailed pictures. eBay wanted to charge a lot of money per picture so I only posted what it allowed me to post for free. Thanks. /p>-Will
