Description of 1984 Porsche 911 Targa

Completely numbers matching according to COA. All body panels paint meter between 3.5-5 mil with the exception of the passenger front fender reading at 7.5. Last odometer reading on CarFax was in 2008 at 8,051 Miles. In 2017 we have a receipt showing the odometer was rebuilt at 8,517 Miles. Unfortunately, we do not how many miles were put on the car in this time period but we believe it to be low as the car was in long term storage. We have a receipt from 2017 showing that the car was removed from storage and serviced.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa for purchase. Perhaps the most beloved body style ever produced for the 911 by Porsche was the Carrera of the 80's. Although sharing many of the visual cues of the generation prior SC's, the Carrera cars were much more well-appointed for driver comfort as well as the added performance of the now proven 3.2 liter "flat six" engine all while preserving the wildly popular lines of the car and its proven timeless design. More performance came with the continuing offer of three different body styles, the coupe, cabriolet, and the offered here in between Targa style. Air-cooled Porsche's are historically significant in the automotive world and are globally sought after as one of the most desirable collector cars available.
The car offered here is a great example finished in Black exterior paint over Black leather interior that was purchased new at Porsche Audi North of Dublin, OH. Factory options included: Steering wheel with raised hub, Blaupunkt "Monterey" Radio, Front and rear spoilers, sport shock absorbers, automatic 2 point seat belts – rear, limited slip differential, forged alloy wheels, cruise control, increased side door strength, alarm system, heated and tinted windshield, etc.
Today, little has changed in this 911's configuration and the car remains in very good original condition. The exterior paint is deep and glossy and the interior is tidy showing the perfect amount of patina. This Porsche remains completely stock right down to the original Blaupunkt radio, steering wheel and 16 inch Fuchs. Mechanically, this Porsche is spot on, pulling strong in every gear, shifts great and handles like it should. Documentation includes its original owners manual, original warranty book, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and a healthy service file.
Porsche 911's continue to dominate the collector car scene and the future remains bright. A car, such as this will always be in demand as they are excellent driving investments.
