Description of 1978 Porsche 911

Listing a 1978 Porsche 911 SC Widebody Slantnose. In very good condition. Original engine and transmission. Professionally installed all steel Slantnose frontend. Rear glass fenders. At the same time converted the original Targa body to a factory style convertible.Canvas top is in excellent condition and works perfect. Has power top locks to secure when top is up. Manual to open and close. Super easy.Top has no cuts or repairs and the rear vinyl window is crystal clear with no scratches. Has matching cover to hide the top. Stored indoors itâ€™s whole life. Interior is in excellent condition. Power windows, power seats all working. Dash, carpet and rear seats are excellent. Paint is 7.5 out of 10. Has a small dime size area of missing paint down to the metal on the passenger side front fender. I donâ€™t know why. Looks like someone wanted to find out what was under the paint? Thatâ€™s what a magnet is for.
Engine has documented major services along with a rebuilt transmission. Tune ups and various repairs were performed by Kahlers (well known) Porsche repair shop in the Bay Area. Fresh battery with all fluids topped off. Tires are new. 17 inch custom aluminum staggered wheels.
The car originally was from California. Owner moved out of state. I purchased it out of Nevada with a clear title. Included in the sale is all the original smog related equipment (bolt on) to bring the car back into smog compliant if needed. I purchased the car with plans to transfer all the drivetrain and wiring harnesses into an RSR tribute roller. But this convertible is too nice to sacrifice for the project. This car has good bones with adult owned history. Its been well maintained and is a super hot tub time machine.
