Description of 1982 Porsche 928

1982 PORSCHE 928 with Competition option package. 5-Speed manual transmission with Limited slip differential. 79,750 miles. Very good condition, well maintained and ready to go. Super cleanAuto Check report.

The overall condition is very good, 8.5/10, the car looks great and drives well. The car is "drivers quality" meant to be used and enjoyed. The car is 38 years old and shows all signs of being well cared for. The car is buckets of fun to drive, fast and handles super well typical of a German Grand Touring car. Recent cosmetic service at an expert vintage auto restoration specialist gives a fantastic polished and detailed appearance ready for a car show and for a car enthusiasts collection. A closer look finds a few chips, nothing other than very minor to hood lip and mirror. Overall the appearance is outstanding for a 38 year old car. Interior is in super good shape with no dash cracks or fading. The car is a genuine survivor, all original, unmodified (other than a Borla exhaust system) and has been adult owned and well maintained.

Car has the highly sought after silver zinnmetallic paint (color code 956) in excellent condition 9/10. The car has the Competition option package with a black hand stitched full leather interior and better - 8 way power seats. The car has a rare 5 speed manual transmission with a limited slip differential. The car has larger, much better brakes, Bilstein shocks, spoilers, sunroof and brake air vents which would be the 928 S version from 1983 onward. The car is German engineered and hand made to super high quality standards that represented the best of the best of its early eighties era. The 1982, earlier generation Porsche 928, is much lighter, is far less complex and thus somewhat easier to understand and can be much less expensive to maintain than later versions. Parts of all kinds are readily available found on eBay or numerous 928 specialty websites. This is an excellent well above average condition Porsche 928 at a reasonable price with known history.

The car has been seen at many Boston area specialty car shows at the Larz Andersen Auto Museum during the 2019 lawn show season including the German Car Day, Porsche Day, Cars and Coffee and the best car show on the east coast – Radwood. There are numerous photos and videos on InstaGram and other websites. The car is fully Radwood 80s era car show worthy and will attract huge attention and praise.

Car has had an extensive cycle of maintenance costing over $6500 in parts and service within the past year. Over 150 hours of time! The car is well sorted and can be driven anywhere. 4000 miles driven during 2019 gives a record of excellent reliability. All receipts and service records from prior owners to current owner dating back to mid 1990s.
