Description of 1993 Porsche 911 RS America

1993 Porsche 911 Carrera RS America. Only 701 built! Vin WP0AB2967PS419284. 79,435 Miles. 5-Speed Manual. Black. Black Leatherette w/ Corduroy Cloth Seat Inlays. Limited Slip Differential. Air Conditioning. Sunroof. Clean Carfax. Books, Manuals, Service Records, 2 Keys, Jack and the Spare. This stunning, Black on Black RS America needs no introduction to Porsche aficionados. It’s lighter, louder and sportier than the two-wheel-drive Carrera 2 it was based on. The true enthusiasts love this model simply due to its rawness. Sports Car International called the RS America “a Porsche like Porsche used to build, like die-hards used to buy.” This particular Porsche is a great looking car and a total package! The exterior of the car is in phenomenal shape as is the interior. The car sports 3 of the 4 RS America options. Limited Slip Differential, AC, and the Sunroof. However, the previous owner installed a modern radio unit, which is the 4th possible option, therefore technically completing the option list (in a non-official way.) The ’93 models are also more popular and sought out after than the later ’94 cars because of the seat delete option that was not available in that year. The performance is spot on! With a top speed of 162 mph, and pushing 247 HP at 6100, this was a tremendous performer for this era. The deletion of the power steering lightens the car up, and combining that with the M030 suspension, changes the car’s demeanor and returns this manufacturer to its racing roots. This particular car comes with a wonderful stack of service records, tracking the car’s history from 2,598 miles (02/03/1995) all the way up to 79,407 miles (11/11/2019). The car was delivered new to Vasek Polak Porsche/Audi in Hermosa Beach, CA, and it remained in the Golden State until it arrived to our place here in Oakwood, GA this December. It is truly one of a kind, and for those who believe that the older air cooled Porsches are the true enthusiast’s cars, it’s hard to go wrong with a good RS America like this one. A leak down was recently completed with excellent numbers that is available upon request! This is an exciting investment you can drive and enjoy! This is one of the models with the greatest potential appreciation!
