Description of 1989 Porsche 944 Turbo |
Hi! Up for sale is my ‘89 Porsche 944 Turbo S that’s been my daily for the last two years. I’m quite sad to see her go but I hardly drive it anymore as I'm chronically away for a new job. Since she was my daily, I’ve kept everything in excellent working condition. You’re not buying a project, but an superb example of a 951 that runs perfectly and that you could drive anywhere. Video of walk around, interior, and every electrical feature being operated: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_8NyH3Qil8 Video of acceleration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FAdjrpmcyDc&feature=youtu.be Message me with your email for a PDF of scanned receipts, auto check report, and more detailed images. In ‘88, Porsche released the 944 Turbo S, which included more power, a bigger turbo, a limited slip differential, and enhanced sport suspension. For ‘89-‘91, they no longer produced the S model and made made all subsequent Turbos identical to the ‘88 Turbo S, hence why Porsche geeks call the ‘89-‘91 Turbos a Turbo S. This ‘89 example includes all this equipment as standard. 49/51 weight distribution thanks to the transaxle, combined with the increased 250 hp power transferred to the road through a sticky LSD makes the late model 944 Turbo S the fastest and most engaging of the Porsche’s transaxles cars. This specific 951 (factory designator for 944 Turbos) features an excellent interior. Previous owners had the timing belt done (May 2017) and a clutch. She pulls strong, is a blast to drive and grabs a lot of attention. She’s Porsche enthusiast owned and it’s been by far the hardest car for me to let go. Feel free to call (leave a voicemail) or text with any questions, to arrange a test drive, or just to talk Porsche. - Lukas (386) 585-0147 Highlights: - Starts, drives, shifts flawlessly - AC blows cold - All electronics work, from cruise controls to side view mirrors to electric seat adjusters - Immaculate interior, no cracks on dash - New Alpine stereo with speakers - No rust - Limited Slip Differential Factory Options: 030 - Club sport package (bigger brakes, Koni shocks, performance suspension) 220 - limited slip differential 454 - automatic speed control 490 - sound package 494 - 2 speakers on back shelf 533 - alarm system 573 - air conditioner 593 - anti-lock brake system 650 - sunroof L041 - black paint Engine: M44/52 2019 Maintenance - Radiator / Thermostat / Coolant Flush (I have receipts) - All Coolant hoses replaced (I have receipts) - Most Vac Lines replaced (I have receipts) - Fuel pump + filter (I have receipts) - Oil change (I have receipts) - Air filter change - Front brake pads (I have receipts) - Transmission fluid change (I have receipts) - Battery (I have receipts) - Alternator (I have receipts) - Throttle body cleaned (I have receipts) 2018 - AC Compressor and recharge (I have receipts) - Turbocharger rebuilt (I have receipts) 2017 - 4 new tires (currently have 15k miles on set) (I have receipts) - Windshield - Timing belt done in August 2017 (I have receipts) Cons: some chips in paint and road rash Odometer froze 2 years ago, driven 12k since if you park it for two days, it will leave one to two drops of oil, I mean it is 31 years old Overall, this 951 is in the 85th-90th percentile of all 944 turbos. Clean, runs strong, and very fast. |
