Description of 1968 Porsche 911 |
1968Porsche 911. Thecar is in great shape. It starts up right away, accelerates smoothly, idles well, drives straight, and stops just fine too. Californiacar, so no significant rust. Interioris in great shape overall. Not faded, torn up, smoked in, and no dashcracks. Newbrakes and new tires. Clutch a few years ago. Hereis a walk around of the car:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iA2HHYQTkVk&feature=youtu.be Youcan see that the car is in great shape, especially for the age. Keepingthat in mind, I do want to spend a disproportionate amount of time onthe negatives & flaws so that all of the known issues are fullyaddressed and disclosed. Cosmetic: Paintimperfections. The pictures say it all, no serious damage orindentations, and from far away it is quite eye catching. Up closethough, it could definitely use love. There is orange peel in someareas around the car. There are some areas where paint has come offor doesn’t look the best. There are chips very noticeably on thelower section of the front bumper. Iwould have it refinished, but since I am selling it, I am leaving itup to the next owner to customize as they desire (leave it as-is,change the color, RWB conversion, etc.) With the number of optionsavailable, I decided just to leave it up to the future owner to maketheir own. Interior: -2 Vents on interior dash (Driver and passenger side. Middle isintact) -Armrest on driver’s door. Electrical: -Blower Fan -Sunroof - Headlights when not on bright setting Couldbe loose connection, a blown fuse, or something else. Since none ofthose components directly affect how the car drives, they’ve goneunaddressed for the time being. Forthose whom the photos and video don't suffice, I’m happy to take asmany photos as you’d like me to, do a FaceTime tour, etc. I'm alsowilling to have the car can be taken to a mechanic (Porsche, 3rdparty, or a local enthusiast) at your expense as well if desired. Nottrying to hide anything whatsoever, so go to whatever lengths youdesire prior to the purchase. With that in mind, the car is beingsold in as-is condition. Sellingit to free up the capital, however, I’m super opposed to keeping iteither; I don’t foresee it depreciating anytime in the near future.Despite the flaws, its a running, driving, clean title, clean-bodiedcar. Forlocal buyers, it’s a pre 1975 car, so no smog needed. Thecar is titled as a 68. Registration says 68. Vin sticker says 68.Metal VIN plate says 68. Vin stamped into front trunk says 68. Decodethe VIN number and it comes back to 1968. Asyou can see, it has components from a newer 911.('76) Cleantitle in hand. |
