Description of 1980 Porsche 911 Leather

Porsche engineers don’t make mistakes very often, but the U.S.-spec 2.7-liter 911s built between 1975 and 1977 were plagued with engine problems when new. In 1978, Porsche put those problems behind them with the introduction of the brilliant 3.0 liter 911SC. Porsche now finally mated a body that was capable of lasting indefinitely with an engine that was capable of lasting nearly that long. Well maintained 911SCs are capable of 300,000 miles between rebuilds. The first custodian was a doctor who owned this car from new in 1980 until 2013. In 2013 the second owner bought it. Both owners lived in Texas so rust is a non-issue. A most excellent example of air-cooled 911 Porsche. Factory air conditioning WORKS. Clock works!! Electric windows, rear window heater, rear speakers, passenger door mirror, Porsche "whale tail", original books, sold new in San Antonio, serviced at dealerships in San Antonio and Carrolton, Texas. Original miles, motor and transmission, never smoked in, original spare and wheels, emblazoned mats, correct shocks and original steering wheel. Proper service done for $3,060.72 on May 18, 2012 at 34,914 miles. On 7/1/12 an upgraded Alpine CD and speaker kit installed for $2,516.07 by the original owner. On February 27, 2013 a reseal, brakes and hydro servers done for $1,447.88 at 35,042 miles by the original owner. On November 15,2016 a $6,784.16 major service including struts and shocks, 4 wheel alignment, throttle pedal bushings, brake system service and flush, fuel accumulator and adaptive valve, A/C blower motor replaced, drive belts and ignition system serviced at 39,712 miles by the second owner. On 6/18/13 the second owner had a Porsche whale tail installed for $2,875 plus labor. Power windows and sunroof work as they should. Currently titled in Texas dealer's name. “Hagerty" values this car at $52,800 and "NADA" values this car at $49,950 in excellent condition with no addition for low miles. Actual miles unknown.
