I bought the 1984 944 Porsche in 1996. I was told it belonged to the owner of Frontier Ford in San Jose, CA. He went to Stuttgart and had the car shipped to the US, that is why there are WHITE GAUGES. VERY RARE!The car runs and has a NEW battery and is DRIVE-ABLE. Runs well, last tags were for 2019 and it DID pass smog. Newer belts, hoses, and master cylinder. Replaced drive shaft bearings and had transmission reconditioned in 2012 and it "PURRS". Clutch was replaced around 1999. It makes NO noise what so ever. Car as NO rust I can see anywhere, the car has NEVER left California. Odometer does NOT work NOR does the tach or clock. Gas gauge is intermittent. Power windows WORK and it has manual door locks.As far as I can tell this is the BAD STUFF: Body is in excellent condition except for dent back right quarter panel (see pics). Front plastic scoop under front fender is missing. Power steering unit needs replacing. Windshield has cracks. Hatch window has come loose and needs resetting. Seats are destroyed, dash has cracks but it has newer cover that was never glued down. Interior is in bad shape all around. Moon roof is broken. Unit has AC but it doesn't work.Keep in mind this is SOLD AS IS. Please fell free to ask any questions and I will be happy to answer as best I can!!!
